Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: March 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all subscription purchases made on ExamVine (https://examvine.com) and the ExamVine mobile application (collectively, the “Service”), operated by ExamVine, a proprietary micro enterprise (Udyam Registration: UDYAM-TS-25-0067520).

1. Subscription Plans & Pricing

ExamVine offers the following paid subscription plans:

Premium Monthly ₹999 per month 30 days from purchase
Premium Yearly ₹9,999 per year 365 days from purchase

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). As ExamVine’s annual turnover is below the GST threshold of ₹20 lakhs, no Goods and Services Tax (GST) is charged separately. Invoices are issued as Bills of Supply.

2. Refund Eligibility

We offer a 7-day conditional refund from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions:

2.1 Eligible for Refund

You may request a full refund if all of the following conditions are met:

  1. Timing: Your refund request is made within 7 calendar days of the original purchase date. The purchase date is the date the payment was successfully processed by Razorpay.
  2. Usage: You have not accessed more than 20% of premium content during the refund period. This includes:
    • Viewing more than 20% of premium-only study notes (beyond the 30% free preview)
    • Watching more than 20% of premium-only video lectures
    • Attempting more than 20% of available mock tests
    • Using the AI Study Assistant more than 10 times since purchase
    • Downloading content for offline use
  3. First-time request: This is your first refund request for that particular subscription type (Monthly or Yearly). Repeat refund requests for the same plan type within a 12-month period are not eligible.

2.2 NOT Eligible for Refund

A refund will not be issued in the following cases:

  • More than 7 calendar days have passed since the purchase date.
  • You have accessed more than 20% of premium content (as described above).
  • The subscription was purchased using a promotional discount code of 50% or more (e.g., LAUNCH50). Discounted subscriptions are final.
  • Your account has been suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
  • You have already received a refund for the same plan type within the past 12 months.
  • The subscription was a renewal (auto or manual) and you did not cancel before the renewal date despite receiving reminder emails 7 days and 1 day in advance.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us at:

Include the following information in your email:

  1. Registered phone number or email address associated with your ExamVine account
  2. Date of purchase (as shown in your purchase history or payment confirmation email)
  3. Razorpay Transaction ID — found in:
    • Your ExamVine purchase history (My Account → Purchases)
    • The payment confirmation email from Razorpay
    • Your bank/UPI statement (reference number)
  4. Reason for the refund request (helps us improve our service)

Do NOT call your bank to dispute the charge before contacting us. A chargeback can complicate the refund process and may result in your account being suspended. Please contact us first — we will resolve it.

4. Refund Processing

Acknowledgment of your request Within 24 hours of receiving your email
Review and decision Within 2 business days of acknowledgment
Refund initiation (if approved) Within 1 business day of approval
Refund credited to your account 5-7 business days from initiation

Refund method: Refunds are processed through Razorpay and credited back to the original payment method:

  • UPI: Refunded to the same UPI ID (typically 1-3 business days)
  • Credit/Debit Card: Refunded to the same card (typically 5-7 business days)
  • Net Banking: Refunded to the same bank account (typically 5-7 business days)
  • Wallet: Refunded to the same wallet (typically 1-3 business days)

You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is initiated, including the Razorpay Refund ID for tracking.

Note: Refund timelines depend on your bank or payment provider. ExamVine is not responsible for delays beyond the Razorpay refund initiation.

5. Cancellation of Subscription

5.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through:

  1. Website: My Account → Dashboard → Turn off “Auto-Renewal”
  2. Mobile App: Profile → Subscription → Cancel Auto-Renewal
  3. Email: Send a cancellation request to support@examvine.com with your registered phone number

5.2 What Happens After Cancellation

  • Your premium access continues until the end of your current billing period (end_date of your subscription).
  • After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan with its associated limits.
  • All your data, progress, bookmarks, and history are preserved — you only lose access to premium-only content.
  • No partial refunds are issued for the remaining days in your billing period.

5.3 Re-subscribing After Cancellation

If you change your mind, you can purchase a new subscription at any time from the Pricing page. Your data and progress from the previous subscription period will still be available.

6. Auto-Renewal

6.1 How Auto-Renewal Works

  • Subscriptions are set to auto-renew by default when purchased.
  • In our current version (V1): Auto-renewal means you will receive reminder emails to renew. You will need to manually complete the payment for each renewal period. Automatic payment deduction does not occur — you are never charged without your explicit action.
  • You will receive reminder emails:
    • 7 days before your subscription expiry date
    • 1 day before your subscription expiry date

6.2 Turning Off Auto-Renewal

  • You can disable auto-renewal at any time from your account dashboard.
  • Disabling auto-renewal means you will not receive renewal reminder emails.
  • Your current subscription continues until the end_date regardless of the auto-renewal setting.

6.3 Refunds on Renewals

If you manually renew and want a refund, the same 7-day conditional refund policy applies to each renewal period independently.

7. Technical Issues & Failed Payments

7.1 Payment Deducted but Subscription Not Activated

If money is deducted from your account but your premium access is not activated within 1 hour, please:

  1. Wait 1 hour — some payments take time to process and verify
  2. Check your account dashboard — your subscription status should update automatically
  3. If still not activated: Email support@examvine.com with:
    • Your registered phone number
    • Screenshot of the payment deduction
    • Razorpay Transaction ID (from bank statement or Razorpay email)

We will resolve such issues within 24 hours or issue a full refund.

7.2 Double Payment

If you are charged twice for the same subscription period, the duplicate payment will be refunded automatically within 5-7 business days. If not, contact support@examvine.com with the transaction details.

7.3 Payment Failed

If your payment fails (insufficient funds, bank decline, network error), no charge is made and no subscription is created. You can try again at any time.

8. Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with our refund decision:

  1. First: Reply to the refund decision email with additional information or clarification.
  2. Escalation: Email support@examvine.com with subject “Refund Escalation” — the proprietor will review your case within 3 business days.
  3. Legal: If unresolved, disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, as stated in our Terms of Service.
